Why this exists

Most teaching resources are written by people who left the classroom

And it shows. The lesson plans assume a class that behaves. The professional development assumes time you don’t have. I’m still teaching, so when I say a lesson structure holds up under pressure, it’s because I’ve watched it hold up — or watched it fail and rebuilt it.

Three things I actually build

The resource library is the biggest of them, but the other two are where the time savings really come from. Have a look:

Where these courses come from

I teach biology and anatomy & physiology to college students across the United States. Every course here started as something that wasn’t working in my own classroom — students who wouldn’t ask questions, lessons that collapsed the moment a schedule shifted, assessments that measured recall and called it thinking.

What’s in these courses is what worked. Not theory I read about, but practice I rebuilt until it held up in front of real students, semester after semester.

What teachers say after going through this professional development:

“This was the first professional development in years that actually gave me energy instead of draining it. I appreciated that the focus wasn’t on doing more—it was about teaching smarter, protecting my well-being, and rediscovering why I became an educator in the first place.”

Veteran 4th Grade Science Teacher, Title I School

“The science literacy strategies were immediately applicable. I walked away with classroom-ready ideas that encouraged my students to think like scientists, ask better questions, and engage more deeply with scientific concepts without requiring a complete curriculum overhaul.”

Middle School STEM Department Chair, Grades 6–8

“I appreciated how this course balanced evidence-based practices with the realities of today’s classroom. It acknowledged the challenges teachers face while providing practical tools for reducing burnout, building resilience, and creating meaningful science learning experiences. I left feeling hopeful, equipped, and excited to return to my classroom.”

Take those for what they are — other people’s words. The better test is the teaching itself, so the first lesson of every course is free to read. No signup, no card, no trial clock. Read one and judge it for yourself.

Professional development that respects your time

Five self-paced courses, six sections each, built out of problems from my own classroom. Every one opens its first lesson free — no signup, no card — and finishing any of them generates a printable certificate for your PD records.

Questions teachers actually ask

If yours isn’t here, just ask me.

What subjects do the resources cover?

ELA, Math and Science, mapped to state and national standards. Science runs deepest — biology, physics and earth science — because that’s what I teach.

Are the teaching materials editable?

Yes. Every resource is editable, because no lesson survives first contact with someone else’s class unchanged.

How can I save time using these resources?

The bundles remove the blank-page problem for a whole unit at once. Scorae takes the other half — the grading pile that eats your Sunday.

Is there support for using these materials?

Yes — email me directly, or take one of the professional development courses. The first lesson of each is free to read.
