I teach biology and anatomy and physiology to college students, and I build the resources I wished I’d had.
I’m Corey Christen. I hold a PhD and teach biology, anatomy and physiology, and related sciences asynchronously to college students across the United States. Everything on this site comes out of that work โ the lesson bundles, the professional development courses, the equipment recommendations, the book. None of it is theoretical. It is what I use, what I have watched fail, and what I have rebuilt until it held up.

Why this site exists
Most teaching resources are written by people who are no longer in a classroom, and it shows. The lesson plans assume a class that behaves. The professional development assumes time you do not have. The equipment guides are written by affiliate marketers who have never focused a microscope.
I am still teaching. When I say a lesson structure survives contact with a real class, or that a specification on a product listing is marketing rather than optics, that comes from doing it โ not from research. That is the only advantage I have over a content farm, and it is the thing I try to put into everything here.
What you’ll find here
- Professional development courses โ six-section courses on curiosity, scientific thinking, lesson design, assessment, and teacher burnout. Six sections each: lessons, quizzes, and a preview lesson you can read before buying.
- Science lesson bundles โ standards-aligned materials for high school biology, physics, and earth science.
- A lab equipment guide โ a deliberately short list of instruments for high school and college labs, chosen on specifications rather than commission rates.
- The Price of Illiteracy โ my book on why science literacy matters and what its decline is costing us.
Credentials

If you want the longer version of why this exists — the problem it is trying to solve and what I am actually building — that is on the mission page.
